3-D release steers 'Titanic' past $2 billion mark

Cameron's 1997 blockbuster "Titanic" sailed beyond the $2 billion mark in lifetime ticket sales, thanks to a 3-D re-release of the film that was timed to the centennial of the ship's sinking.

Only one other movie has topped $2 billion, and it's also Cameron's. His 2009 sci-fi smash "Avatar" earned $2.8 billion worldwide.

The "Titanic" reissue took in about $100 million this weekend — $11.6 million domestically and a whopping $88.2 million in 69 overseas markets. That included a $58 million debut in China and put the re-release total worldwide at $190.8 million.

Added to the film's $1.84 billion haul in its original release, "Titanic" now stands at $2.03 billion worldwide.

why 3-D "Titanic" still can attract customers to watch it?

i think the main reason is customer still cant forget this movie during 15 years, because it is a classical movie, and it can help people to remember some thing, like ex-boyfriends or girlfriends. 

the new ipad in China

Apple debuted its third-generation iPad two weeks ago and announced shipments of three million units during the launch weekend. Although the tablet is not yet officially sold in the 1.33 billion people Chinese market, Apple has just been granted a certification for the device, an important pre-requisite for having the new iPad appear on store shelves.

Right now, there is no selling in China. If customers want to get the new ipad, they would go to Hongkong to buy it. But, Chinese custom bans the new ipad into the mainland China. So, it is a bad news for fans of Apple.

Through board games people can learn thinking, memory, association, and common sense. Board games include people playing the game face to face, so through the game you can learn how to get along with others, communication, intelligence and analysis focusing on the challenges of computing power. Moreover, board game s do not required a certain age to play. People play with family to promote good feelings among family members. Participants can improve their thinking and logical reasoning ability by playing games, because there are different roles that involve different functions that relate to different disciplines.

Now, there are many board games shops in China. It is more popular in young people's live. Furthermore, board games shops have been a new industry in the society.

As we think, why he will choose Target to sell his products?
According to the previous case, there are many big fashion brands chosen Target to promote their products, which is not very expensive, they want to attract the customers, who are belong to middle class or lower class. 

For me, when i look at those clothes pictures, i like them and i want to buy them; however, when i went to target to buy them, there is only little bit clothes in here and the size is so big. I think there are three reasons to explain why customers love it.
1. they like this designer and his products.
2. the price is cheaper than his other design products, and the customer also has an ability to buy it.
3. Target is a place, which the customers trust it. A good promotion also can help brand to attract more new customers.

irrational

Through reading the book "the upside of irrational", i understand a new idea, which is "irrational consumption".

We always use rational motion to buy some thing, but why we can't use "irrational" motion to consume. In fact, we think our consumer behavior is rational, but maybe it is not correct.
So, in the some times, irrational consumption is not a bad thing, we still can own some products, which we love them.

Starbucks' coffee cup

Starbucks, which is a very famous coffee shop. I like to go here to drink, talk with my friends, or just stay here. It is not only the coffee is good, but also the coffee cup is special. In the different seasons or holidays, the Starbucks will promote their special coffee cup, I like this promotion idea.

I think lots of customers like to drink Starbucks have their own reasons, maybe its delicious coffee drink, or as same as me like their coffee cups.

In Taiwan, there are many nice coffee cups in Starbucks shops in Valentine's Day. It is a good time to promote it.

In China, we have a good social media, it called "weibo". In this media, we can find many stars, it looks like "twitter".

I am enjoying to using this social media because i can find lots of interesting news or events, also it can help me to find lot of good deals in different American shopping websites, such as Amazon, Best buy and some official websites.

I believe that many college students like shopping online, so finding coupons or using good time to shopping is important to them (including me). It also shows that is one of consumer behavior. There is no deny that everyone wants to buy good which is cheaper and well. That is why people will shopping crazy in Christmas, New Year and Black Friday, because of having a big discount.
